ALBERT ALBERT
Was born in 1968 in Nakhodka, Far East of Russia.

Education
1993 - graduated from the Music Academy in Riga, drama and cinema actors faculty.
1995-1997 attended Gennady Abramovs Classes of Expressive Body Movements in Vasilyevs School of Drama Art in Moscow.
Since 1995 a permanent participant of master-classes of contemporary dance techniques, improvisation and contact improvisation taught by different teachers and choreographers of Europe, USA and Canada such as Zambrano, Simpson, Valtz, Gerge, Poelstra, Montero, Langedaik, Furukava, Veriller, Harvud and others.

Artistic biography
1993-1995 - an actor in different theatres in Daugavpils and Riga.
Since 1995 - has been living and working in Moscow.

 

In 1995-1999 became a member of Abramovs Class of Expressive Body Movements group where he took part in creating and dancing in the performances Flock and Voice. The performance Flock was successfully presented in Russia, Germany and Italy.
Since 1995 - together with other dancers and performers he has been taking part in different projects by Moscow underground musicians, artists and designers. He collaborates with S.Letov, B.Berger, B.Gusev, O.Bogusevichen, Saira Blanch theatre.
1999 became one of the founders of PO.V.S.Tanze Dance Company, where he still works as a dancer and choreographer.

1998-2001 - participated as a dancer in Russian-German project On The Earth by Sasha Valtz. The performance was presented in the first-rate Contemporary Dance Festivals in Germany, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Holland


Since 2002 - has been participating in Russian-German project of Do-Theatre Birds Eye View. The performance was presented in Saint Petersburg and cities of Germany, Italy and in Edinburgh Festival in 2003.


Since 2001 - a choreographer of drama performances in different theatres in Moscow and other cities in Russia:

2001 - Plasticine Rain directed by K.Serebryannikov (Center of Contemporary Dramaturgy by Roschin and Kazanzev).

2003 The Twelfth Night directed by Donnelan (Theatre Confederation project), performances Lisistrata and Dostoevsky-Trip directed by U.Urnov (Krasny Fakel theatre in Novosibirsk), Self murderer (Penza theatre).

2004 Representing a victim directed by K.Serebryannikov ( Chekhovs Moscow Art Theatre), Masquerade directed by V. Ageev ( Satirikon theatre).

2005 -directed by E.Pisarev (Pushkins Theatre).
2006 -..directed by E.Pisarev (Moscow Art Theatre).

Participated in Two way traffic research project as a moderator and dancer. The project took place in august 2004 in Moscow and in September 2004 in New-York.

Made the dance performance Ibo Bo in collaboration with Aleksandra Konnikova (282. Moscow Yaroslavl project with dancers of Yaroslavl dance company Graffiti).


2005 Made the dance performance Musimu wa tano (fifth season) in collaboration with Aleksandra Konnikova in Nairobi ,Kenya (Dance Traffic project of The Center for International Theatre Development (Russia/USA/East Africa).


2006 Made the dance-performance White Donkeys dreaming ( for children and there parents) in collaboration with Alexandra Konnikova for the Theatre of Nations (Moscow).

Participated in the Springdance Dialogs project in Utrecht (Holland).
Made the dance performance Past continuous in collaboration with Konnikova for Dialog Dance company in Kostroma (Russia).

Teaching experience
Since 2000 - has been teaching master-classes on contemporary dance techniques in Moscow, Kiev, Riga, Yekaterinburg, St-Petersburg, Samara, Tomsk, Kostroma, Krasnoyarsk, Yaroslavl, Salzburg, Kirov.
2001, 2003-2007 - participated in TSEH Summer School as a teacher.
